Heads Up Your Monthly Communication From The Headmaster
Dear parents,
As we move into our final days of the school year, I want to extend a thank you to each of you for your ongoing support of our programs. Together, we have had a fantastic year and it would not have been possible without your efforts. Our mission statement says we will "celebrate with them, when they do," and the past weeks have been evidence of this. I have been witness to Awards Days, Drama Productions, Band Concerts, Division Celebrations, Alumni Functions and Graduations. Each has warmed my heart as they have one thing in common: they celebrate student success and overall excellence.

Rundle College Grade 11 Golf Tournament
To close, I understand that June is a very busy month so I will endeavor to keep this brief.
Here are a couple of short updates about some Society items of note:
Project 20.15
At the Academy and College Graduation Ceremonies, the graduating students unveiled their 'graduation gift.' This year's gift was particularly inspiring. The graduates of 2015 have pledged to each give $20.15 for each of the next 5 years to support the creation of Rundle's first endowment fund. These funds will go directly to providing tuition assistance for students who might not otherwise be able to afford a Rundle education. The graduating class aims to have 100% participation from their class, and are challenging other graduating classes, parents, alumni and faculty to pitch in and support.
If you are interested in more information or in supporting Project 20.15, please click on this link and take one minute to fill in your details. We will reach out to you to help answer any questions you might have.
All donations can be dropped off at any Rundle campus front desk or the Society office. Tax receipts will be made out for all gifts over $25.
Rundle College Primary/Elementary Ground Breaking
I was honoured to join our Rundle College Foundation Directors, Rundle College Society Directors, and all our partners in construction at the official ground breaking ceremony for the new school. With this symbolic act, the construction of our new school has officially begun. It was particularly special to have Rundle's founding father, Dr. Conklin in attendance, along with two of his grandchildren and two of Dr. Collett's grandchildren at the ceremony. Please keep your eye on your e-mails for regular construction updates as we have them.
TEDxRundleAcademy
Rundle College Society's first TED sanctioned event was held late last month at the Rundle Academy campus. The morning was filled with several 'ideas worth sharing.' and was an unqualified success. When the videos are posted on our TEDx website I will send out a follow up e-mail.
Graduation Day
To close off this edition of the Head's Up, I would like to congratulate all graduates and wish them all the best in the coming years! Our school is only as strong as our student and alumni body, and based on the accomplishments of these fine young men and women, I would believe we have never been stronger. You have made us all very proud.
We have received several requests for a copy of the graduation speeches that were delivered at the events. For those of you who would like to give them a read, I will be posting them on my blog as I receive them.
